Interpreting with Confidence

What you will learn Learn the tools that actors use to appear more confident and competent! • Increase your ability to think more confident thoughts and feel more confident. • Explore acting exercises that focus on your mind, body, speech, and breath. • Learn how to use tools from the actor's 'toolbox' to help you improve your communication skills.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will be able to identify the meaning of the term “confidence” and how it relates to being an effective interpreter.
• Participants will be able to list at least three steps instrumental in building and maintaining a level of confidence during their role as an interpreter.
• Participants will perform at least two mental and/or physical exercises that are used as a daily routine in increasing interpreter’s confidence
